An Act to amend the Traffic Regulation 1962 and the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995 for particular purposes
The Parliament of Queensland enacts—
This Act may be cited as the Transport Legislation (Disability Parking Permit Scheme) Amendment Act 2019.
Part 2 Amendment of Traffic Regulation 1962
This part amends the Traffic Regulation 1962.
3Amendment of s 60 (Eligibility for disability parking permit)
(1)Section 60(1)(a)—
insert—(iv)the individual has total loss of vision or a permanent severe visual impairment; or(v)the individual has a temporary severe visual impairment;(2)Section 60—
insert—(2A)For subsection (1)(a)(v), a temporary severe visual impairment must be of at least 6 months’ duration, as certified by a doctor.
4Amendment of s 61 (Application for permit)
Section 61(2), ‘or (ii)’—
omit, insert—, (ii) or (iv)
5Amendment of s 62 (Deciding the application)
Section 62(2), ‘section 60(1)(a)(i), (ii) or (iii)’—
omit, insert—section 60(1)(a)
6Amendment of s 64 (Duration of permit)

Part 3 Amendment of Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995
This part amends the Transport Operations (Road Use Management) Act 1995.
8Amendment of s 18 (Grounds for amending, suspending or cancelling approvals)
Section 18(1)(f), after ‘impaired’—
insert—or the holder no longer has total loss of vision or a severe visual impairment
9Amendment of s 111 (Parking permits for people with disabilities)
Section 111(1)(a)—
omit, insert—(a)the following persons (each a person with a disability)—(i)a person whose ability to walk is impaired;(ii)a person who has total loss of vision or a severe visual impairment; or
