1Short title

This notice may be cited as the Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) and Other Legislation Amendment Notice 2024.

2Commencement

This notice commences on 27 September 2024.

This part amends the Electrical Safety (Codes of Practice) Notice 2024.

3AAmendment of codes of practice—Act, s 44

(1)If the entry in schedule 1 for a code of practice states that the code of practice has been amended by a ministerial instrument stated in the entry—

(a)the code of practice was amended by the ministerial instrument stated in the entry; and

(b)the inclusion of the amendment in schedule 1 is notice, for section 44(2) of the Act, that the ministerial instrument stated in the entry amending the code of practice has been made by the Minister.

(2)The date stated in schedule 1, column 2 for the amendment of a code of practice is included for information purposes only.

See section 44(4) of the Act for the commencement of an instrument amending a code of practice.

MI 2024 No. 2 means the ministerial instrument titled ‘Electrical Safety Amendment of Codes of Practice (No. 1) 2024’.

ministerial instrument means an instrument made by the Minister under section 44(2) of the Act to amend a code of practice.
