1Short title

This notice may be cited as the Safety in Recreational Water Activities (Code of Practice) Amendment Notice 2024.

2Commencement

This notice commences on 1 August 2024.

3Notice amended

This notice amends the Safety in Recreational Water Activities (Code of Practice) Notice 2022.

4Insertion of new s 4A

After section 4—
insert—

4ARevocation of approved code of practice

If the entry in schedule 1A for an approved code of practice states that the code of practice has been revoked by a ministerial instrument stated in the entry—
(a)the code of practice was revoked by the ministerial instrument stated in the entry; and
(b)the inclusion of the revocation in schedule 1A is notice for the purposes of section 43(2) of the Act that the ministerial instrument stated in the entry revoking the code of practice has been made by the Minister.

MI 2024 No. 2 means the ministerial instrument titled ‘Safety in Recreational Waters Activities Revocation of Code of Practice (No. 2) 2024’.
ministerial instrument means an instrument made by the Minister under section 43 of the Act to—
(a)approve a code of practice; or
(b)revoke an approved code of practice.
