This regulation commences on 1 March 2023.

Division 1 Preliminary

3ADefinitions for part

In this part—
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker means a person who holds—
(a)a Certificate III in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care; or
(b)a qualification in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health that is higher than the qualification mentioned in paragraph (a).
practice plan, for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker, means a document in the approved form—
(a)developed and signed by the worker and the primary clinical supervisor for the worker; and
(b)stating the circumstances and conditions for the worker to administer a medicine.
primary clinical supervisor, for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker, means the person who has primary responsibility for supervising the clinical work performed by the worker for the worker’s employment in a relevant health service.

An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health worker who is employed by a relevant health service.
