Weapons and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation 2018

1Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Weapons and Other Legislation Amendment Regulation 2018.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on 1 July 2018.

3Regulation amended

This part amends the Police Powers and Responsibilities Regulation 2012.

4Amendment of sch 4 (Corresponding laws)

Schedule 4, part 3—

insert—

•Surveillance Devices Act 2016 (SA).

5Amendment of sch 9, s 14 (Security of facilities used under a surveillance device warrant)

(1)Schedule 9, section 14(1)—

omit, insert—

(1)This section applies to premises containing equipment being used by either of the following persons (each an authorised person) to electronically record a conversation or visual images at the premises under a surveillance device warrant—

(a)the senior officer to whom the warrant was issued;

(b)a law enforcement officer authorised by the senior officer to use the equipment.

(2)Schedule 9, section 14(3), ‘interceptor’, first mention—

(3)Schedule 9, section 14(3)(b)(ii) and (iii)—
