Your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (IP Act) and the Queensland Privacy Principles (QPPs).

The information collected, stored and used may include a range of personal information to support the functions of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel (OQPC) under the Legislative Standards Act 1992.  If you choose not to provide personal information, OQPC may not be able to perform its statutory functions.

OQPC is an agency under the Right to Information Act 2009 and the Information Privacy Act 2009 . The Parliamentary Counsel as principal officer of OQPC delegates decision-making powers under those Acts to the Director-General DPC.

To respond to your enquiry it may be necessary for us to disclose your personal information to third parties and/or collect information from third parties.

Your personal information will not be disclosed outside of Australia.

The OQPC Privacy Policy explains how you may request access to and/or correct your personal information.  The Privacy Policy also explains how you can contact us if you consider we have breached our obligations to manage your personal information in accordance with QPPs, and how we deal with privacy complaints.
